6 Problems with Gum and Bone Removal

#1 - Not Reversible

Once the healthy bone is removed from your mouth along with the accompanying gum tissue, this is irreversible. No amount of bone grafting can replace it.

#2 - Reduces Options

After the bone and gum has been amputated, you have very few options if your treatment fails or you change your mind on the type of treatment you want.

#3 - Bad Breath

The bulky fake gums create many food traps that are difficult to reach and hard to clean. This trapped food leads to chronic bad breath.

#4 - Romantic Moments

Not only does kissing feel unnatural for you, but also for them. If you're dealing with food traps and bad breath, it can make these special moments even more awkward.

#5 - Costly Maintenance

Treatment that involves fake gums often require that the prosthetic is removed every year to be cleaned. These cleanings can cost $500 or more every year!

#6 - Poor Esthetics

It's obvious that real gums will always look better than fake gums. People with real gums aren't embarrassed to smile big or have someone see their mouth close up.

Dr. Roberts is the best dentist I’ve ever been to. Everyone on his whole team is top notch. I did a lot of research on dental implants before choosing Utah Smile Clinic. Now that I’ve completed the procedure I know that this is the best choice I could’ve made. Extremely happy with the results.

Maggie Fabian

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I convert my All-on-4 to 3 on 6™?

In some cases, yes. This largely depends on how much bone has been removed. To find out for sure, please schedule a free consultation.

How do I know if I have enough bone for implants?

We find that around 90% of patients we see qualify for 3 on 6 treatment. In cases where there is not enough bone, we can present other appropriate treatment options.

What if I'm not a candidate for 3 on 6™?

Only an authorized 3 on 6™ provider can tell you if you're a candidate. If you're not, there may be other treatment options available that they can go over with you such as All-on-4, snap-in-dentures, etc.

Can you use any of my existing implants?

In some cases, yes. This largely depends on the type of implant(s) you have, where they were placed, and how healthy the bone is.

Can I see any dentist about 3 on 6?

Only authorized 3 on 6™ providers have been trained and certified to offer this treatment. You can see a full list of authorized providers at https://www.3on6.com/providers

How much does 3 on 6™ treatment cost?
